Post-Doctoral Fellow
The Blackford lab is excited to announce a newly available post-doctoral fellowship. We have new funding from an endowment to support a research program investigating anxiety neurocircuitry in schizophrenia. Opportunities may also be available to work on federally funded projects examining anxiety circuitry in PTSD and alcoholism.

We are seeking a highly motivated recent PhD graduate with research experience in affective neuroscience, schizophrenia, and/or anxiety. The ideal candidate will have excellent neuroimaging analysis skills and a strong publication record. Preference will be given to individuals pursuing an academic career who have a strong desire to lead independent projects and publish as a first author.

The Blackford lab is housed within the Psychiatric Neuroimaging Program (PNP) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.  The PNP is a dynamic and collaborative program of labs investigating the neural basis of psychiatric disorders. The Vanderbilt University Medical Center is a national leader in research and provides world-class neuroimaging facilities.  Nashville is ranked as one of the best cities to work and live.

This is a full-time position that requires a PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. Salary is based on an NIH pay scale. The position can start as early as June 1, 2017. We will continue to review applications on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
